Janet Traynor Exhibition

"I enjoy developing my work in the form of print, paint and collage, over painting or printed paper ripped or torn and ceramics. With these wall hangings, I have concentrated on using this range of techniques and media in order to dissolve and sometimes emphasise the relationship between the figure and its context. The works exhibited here, some of which are prints celebrating the different forms of woman and the role she has played in her life, are influenced by Gustav Klimt, William Morris and Alphonse Maria Mucha"

The Art of Growing your Own
The Brewhouse is delighted to work with the Green Spaces Team and our resident artist Vitor Azevedo to celebrate the art of growing your own fruit and vegetables. Growing your own fruit and vegetables has never been more popular and allotment waiting lists are getting longer and longer. ESBC's Green Spaces team are on a mission to show residents how easy it is to grow your own fruit and vegetables without having to have an allotment or a big garden. Come to see the examples of this in the Brewhouse Bar Bistro.
Pick your own Picnic
Celebrate our opening event by bringing your own picnic to the Brewhouse and pick your own living salad from the Brewhouse Bar to go with it for FREE!! There will also be a chance to enjoy nature stories round the indoor Green Spaces Garden. Our resident artist Vitor, will demonstrate how to make your own mini scarecrow which can then be judged as part of the Gardening Olympics Event on Saturday 26th June or collect your own free seedlings from the Green Spaces Team to enter our Autumn Competition later in the year. Everyone welcome.
To compliment this project, we also introduce an exhibition by Paul Debois.

Following a successful career within the field of photgraphing cars, Paul has returned to his original interest in landscape photography, specialising in botanical imagery. He contributes to several garden and plant photo libraries and has worked regularly for Gardeners' World. In 2008 he received two awards in the Garden Photographer of the Year for a project entitled Pinhole Impressions and in the same competition in 2009, he won the people category with 43 Gardeners' Hands.

Joe Vinton Digital Art Exhibition

"Digital Art began for me in 2002, and has been an important part of my life ever since. I've always been creative in one sense or another, but it wasn't until I discovered the software Bryce that I was able to channel my ideas visually. These days I use a combination of Bryce and Photoshop to create sci-fi fantasy landscapes. I have recently began to exhibit my work publicly after years of posting my work on line. Previously I have commissioned pieces for the National Space Foundation of America, Daz3D, and Autofx software. As well as this I was honoured to receive the Artist of the year award 2008 from the on line community Renderosity".

Stones of the Peak District Richard Aidley

Richard is an artist who lives and works in Derby, the gateway to the Peak District. These paintings celebrate the stones and stone circles of the Peak District; those monuments that rise out of legend to act as gateways to our landscape. The stones are enigmatic and eternal, yet more changing than we realise; his work seeks to reflect the changing atmosphere of the stones with the changing seasons, and to display the essence of those who come to look at them and interact with them.

Unchartered Territory Matthew Stewart

"I am 28 years old and have lived in Burton all my life. Painting is my passion and has always been my favourite pastime. I have been painting seriously now for about 10yrs and I am constantly changing and improving. My inspiration comes from lots of different areas, from pieces of music to dreams. I believe my niche in art is with the Surreal, and have always been a big fan of Dali, Magritte and other Surrealists".
