"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

Stephen Duckham's version of the classic Grimm's fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is brought to life with music, comedy and all the magic of the Christmas Season. Enter the world of the beautiful Snow White as she makes seven new friends, yearns for true love and battles the evil intentions of the Wicked Queen. This is a timeless story for the young and the young at heart, told with all the merriment, frivolity and pantomime gusto we have come to expect at this special time of the year! Storytelling in Bereavement Workshop with Janet Dowling

How do people come to terms with loss such as a bereavement? How can those working with them support the process of coming to terms with loss and moving on?  In this workshop you will explore the gentle yet powerful approach of working with stories, traditional and personal, to facilitate healing in loss.
Janet Dowling is a professional storyteller and trained psychiatric social worker, who uses these approaches in her therapeutic work. She has a private practice as a hypnotherapist & therapeutic storyteller, and works as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement care. She continues to work as a professional storyteller in schools in London and the South East and for three years was the resident Therapeutic Storyteller at the Children's Trust in Tadworth, Surrey. She was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship for storytelling with the dying and bereaved. She has delivered workshops in therapeutic storytelling in London, Leeds, Vancouver, Kuwait City and Nazareth.

Big Shed Music
The Karen Street Quartet tells
"Another Story"

Few accordionists have made their mark in jazz, so Karen Street is a member of a rare breed. Playing songs from her latest CD 'Another Story', she continues to skillfully challenge some people's preconceptions of the accordion. A striking musical partnership with guitarist Fred T Baker is refreshed by the addition of award winning jazz singer Sara Colman, along with the talented bassist Andy Hamill. Another Story features jazz standards, original tunes - and pop songs - demonstrating the accordion's impressive versatility. Karen's music is influenced by her incredibly colourful and varied musical past which, with the Fairer Sax all-female Saxophone Quartet, saw her grace the cover of the Sunday Times Magazine and star in a BBC TV special to more recently touring with Strictly Come Dancing Live. She has performed with a huge range of performers and ensembles from Ute Lemper to Grace Jones, the Mike Westbrook Orchestra to the BBC Philharmonic.

"Street... should be ranked among top accordionists anywhere." Ronald Atkins - Jazz Review.
