Carnival Crafts

Get in the Carnival mood by making a costume piece. Join Jenni to make a beautiful colourful mask, using cut out paper feathers from coloured papers, feathers and sequins and anything that sparkles! There will also be ideas for making jewellery from paper, feathers, and pasta!

Make Carnival Musical Instruments

Fancy making your own recycled carnival instruments? From drums to maracas we will create everything you'll need to bring the Carnival to town (OK, kitchen). There will also be some brilliant ideas to help you decorate your room!

Colour Box Short Films: With a Little Help from Our Friends

We may not have been able to spend as much time with our friends as we’d have liked over the last year, but remembering that they’re always there for us when we need them has certainly been a source of comfort. So this selection of shorts celebrates friendship in all its forms, featuring all sorts of characters and creatures, and unlikely allies and acquaintances. With films from all over the world, from Hungary to Japan, to the United States, this programme will leave you with a warm glow inside, like a hug from an old friend. Suitable for all the family.

Guiding us through the films will be Colour Box compere Sarah Hamilton Baker, who will also be sharing some hands-on activities that families can do together on the theme of friendship.

Presented in partnership with Flatpack Projects's Colour Box programme, and the Midlands Arts Centre.

Carnival Dance

Join in with our colourful, carnival themed dance routine, suitable for the whole family to enjoy!  Boogie alongside some of our lovely Brewhouse dancers - learn the steps to the routine, search the cupboards for bright, vibrant props for a fun freestyle and get the whole family involved in our conga around your own home!”
