Journeys Making Marks With Meaning
Still Lively is a weekly drawing club for people aged 55+ that takes place at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. The exhibition consists of drawings made by the club members who responded to the challenge to ‘Have a go at Drawing’. Large scale works feature in the show, alongside unique concertina drawing books that help to present the journey that each person has made. The exhibition is a showcase for the idea that anyone can draw and seeks to inspire anybody, regardless of age to pick up a pencil and make a start. Still Lively ‘Journeys’ is the result of a very special partnership between Creative Health (Arts and Health) CIC, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Staffordshire County Council and Choices Housing Association. Still Lively is funded through Celebrating Age, a joint Arts Council England and The Baring Foundation fund.
