COVID-19 UPDATE: WEDNESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER
Following today’s (Wednesday 26th November) announcement that Staffordshire will go into Tier 3 from the 2nd December, we can no longer re-open the Brewhouse as planned for the festive season. We’ll provide an update on our reopening in due course.
We do however plan to offer a limited festive programme of at home activities and streamed shows, we’ll confirm details of these very soon.
COVID-19 UPDATE: MONDAY 2nd NOVEMBER
Following guidance from the Government, The Brewhouse will be closed from 5 November until at least the 2 December 2020. We are cancelling all events and activities during this period and we'll contact everyone that has tickets or bookings with us.
We are still planning an exciting festive programme of safe shows and activities, to keep up to date, visit www.brewhouse.co.uk/events.
From the 5th November, tickets for future events will only be available to book online, but our box office staff will be available 10-3pm Monday to Friday during lockdown by calling 01283 508100 or emailing brewhousearts@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk
For now, we would like to thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming customers back to the Brewhouse soon.
COVID-19 UPDATE: WEDNESDAY 7th OCTOBER
From today, Burton Town Hall will be used as a walk in Covid 19 test centre. The walk-through testing site will help more people with symptoms get tested and must be booked via the Government’s national booking portal at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by phoning 119. Following the pilot launch, it will be open 10am to 5pm tomorrow and then from 8am to 8pm every day thereafter.
This means the Town Hall will be unavailable for public hire until the end of 2020.

COVID-19 UPDATE: THURSDAY 24th SEPTEMBER
We've updated our revised opening times with effect from Monday 5th October. From this date the Brewhouse will open Tuesday - Friday from 10am-3pm & Saturday from 10am-2pm
COVID-19 UPDATE: WEDNESDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER
Our cafe will reopen on the 10th September. The opening times will Thursday-Saturday from 10am-2pm for a range of drinks, cakes and snacks.
COVID-19 UPDATE: MONDAY 3rd AUGUST
The Brewhouse is now open for limited, socially distanced activities. Our current opening times are Monday to Friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
COVID-19 UPDATE: MONDAY 13TH JULY
We are pleased to announce, that we'll be reopening our doors to visitors from Monday 3rd August, after a closure of over 4 months.
The phased reopening, which won’t yet include any live performances, will enable visitors to take part in small socially distanced activities and workshops, whilst following new guidelines.
We've introduced a range of new safety measures to ensure the safety of visitors and staff, which includes, a one way system, hand sanitiser points, social distancing and additional cleaning procedures.
The reopening will see the introduction of a number of exciting activities taking place throughout August including Burton Swans outdoor sculpture trail from Saturday 8 August; discover the 25 swans in and around Burton.
Brewhouse staff will also be popping up in local parks with family activities (that can be done whilst social distancing) as well as a new art installation at the Brewhouse for families to contribute to. Successful online activities and events will also continue, including storytelling, mini makers crafts, singing and dance.
COVID-19 UPDATE: TUESDAY 17TH MARCH
In response to the ongoing situation surrounding COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all live performances at both the Brewhouse and Town Hall until, at least the end of March.
We will, where possible, reschedule events for future dates and we’ll continue to monitor the situation and update everyone as soon as possible.
The building currently remains open and we are taking additional precautions to maintain good levels of hygiene to protect our staff and visitors as much as possible. If you are visiting us please consider using contactless payment rather than cash.
All workshop sessions with groups that are at higher risk are cancelled and will be finishing our junior sessions a week early for the Easter break.

In an update to our announcement made on Tuesday 17th March 2020, concerning the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we have made the decision to extend the period of cancelled live performances until at least Saturday 18th April 2020, at both The Brewhouse and Town Hall. Wherever possible we are working with companies to reschedule.
We will be contacting customers who have tickets booked for cancelled performances and thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter.
The building currently remains open and we are taking additional precautions to maintain good levels of hygiene to protect our staff and visitors as much as possible. If you are visiting us, please consider using contactless payments rather than cash.
We continue to monitor the situation and will update everyone as soon as possible.
COVID-19 UPDATE: FRIDAY 20TH MARCH
In addition to our earlier updates, from today, Friday 20th March, our Cafe will be closed until further notice. Our Box Office remains open, from 9am-3pm, processing event refunds.

COVID-19 UPDATE: MONDAY 23RD MARCH
From today, Monday 23rd March, both The Brewhouse and Town Hall Civic Function Suite are closed.
We have taken the decision to cancel all shows and performances until the end of May 2020, this includes Burton Children's Festival, which was planned for May Half Term.

Our phone lines are now operational again, although where possible, please direct enquiries to the following email addresses or message us via social media.

Unfortunately we are having some technical difficulties and are not able to process refunds at this time as our box office is closed. We are however, currently looking at ways that we can provide this service whilst we are closed as we appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone. We will be in touch with all those that have booked as soon as possible. You can still book for future shows online. If you would like to transfer your ticket to an alternative date (where we have been able to move the show) or if you have any urgent enquiries then please do contact box office either by phone or email. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
