We welcome back our super stand-up comedy club this October featuring some of the best comedians on the UK comedy circuit.

This month’s club features the excellent and downright funny comedy delights of Samantha Day, Matt Price and all held together by your host Howard Read!

Do note that line-up is subject to change.

Howard Read

Howard is a comic, writer, animator and actor, in that order. He is best known for being one half (and the other half), of the Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act. He is also an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, author, illustrator and animator.

As a Stand-up Howard Read is brilliantly off the wall. Totally silly, songs and jokes and stupidness. The man is a baffoon of the highest order.

And in this business that is a good thing.

“Genius.” Radio Times

“Incredibly, achingly funny.” Daily Mail

Matt Price

Matt has performed in 30 countries, including Turkey, Cambodia, Australia and Russia. He is a big friendly guy from Cornwall. He likes to tell stories, he tells jokes and interacts with a crowd in a way that makes everyone in the room feel good.

Matt also hosts the “Conversations with Criminals” podcast in which he interviews retired criminals and ask them about their lives. It was described in Crime monthly magazine as a “podcast sensation”.

‘One of the best storytellers on the circuit’  ★★★★ Artshub Australia

Criminally funny’ ★★★★ The Scotsman

Samantha Day

Samantha has six children. Three of them are stepchildren, which means that they have been brought up properly, by someone else, and are therefore nice.  But her three are a lot better at shoplifting.

She is 53, but looks younger because she’s had a lot of work done. Some people have said that that makes her a bad feminist. They don’t know the half of it.

She is an alcoholic and hasn’t had a drink for 17 years. And that’s ok – she doesn’t need to drink in order to socialise or dance. Happily, she doesn’t even need to drink to wet herself.

For nearly thirty years, Samantha was an accountant. She gave it up when, despite her best efforts, she only managed to sleep her way to the middle.
