Burton Folk Club Celebrate 60 Years!

Burton Folk Club is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with some special events this year. In honour of this occasion they have launched an exhibition at the Brewhouse which features photos, press cuttings and reminiscences covering all four incarnations of the Club. It will run until Sat 4th April and admission is free during Brewhouse opening hours. If anyone has memories, photos or news clippings they would like to contribute please contact the Folk Club at  info@burtonfolkclub.org.uk 

We are excited to announce that the Brewhouse is also the venue for a Folk Day on Sat 28th March with a superb collection of our floorsingers taking to the stage in the Brewhouse cafe area in the afternoon, plus a Shanty Workshop and Beginners Ceilidh Class in the Dance Studio upstairs. Admission is free and the bar will be open all afternoon. The event will be rounded off in the evening with one of the most popular acts to play the Club, The Willows! The Willows will make their return, re-forming after a decade’s absence in a special concert  https://www.brewhouse.co.uk/events/the-willows 

The Folk Club meets weekly and are Based at Marstons Social Club on Shobnall Road, Burton for our regular events, but use other venues where applicable between Sept and May. The meets usually alternating between Guestnights with Singarounds, where local musicians get together to share their songs and tunes.
