Adult Art Class

An adult art class introducing the principals of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium, working to a theme for inspiration each week – see up-to-date listings below.

11th February – Impressionism using acrylics

Taking inspiration from Berthe Morisot, one of the founding members of the movement, as well as better-known artists.

25th February – Renaissance art

Explored through the lens of oil pastels.

4th March – Foundation techniques; pencil, drawing and mark-making

Learn the basics on mastering this medium.

11th March – Foundation techniques; watercolour

Learn to master this medium.

18th March – Foundation techniques; colour theory

Explore the colour wheel and complementary/harmonic colour using acrylic paint.

25th March – Foundation techniques; acrylic paint
