Adult Art Class

An adult art class introducing the principals of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium, working to a theme for inspiration each week – see up-to-date listings below.

14th January – Drawing the face

Tips and techniques for drawing facial features.

21st January – Degas and soft pastels

Creating art inspired by this famous master.

28th January – Monotone ink wash

Taking inspiration from landscapes in all its forms.

4th February – Watercolours

Exploring painting and mark making using water and pencil.

11th February – Impressionism using acrylics

Taking inspiration from Berthe Morisot, one of the founding members of the movement, as well as better-known artists.

25th February – Renaissance art

Explored through the lens of oil pastels.
