Adult Art Class

An adult art class introducing the principals of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium, working to a theme for inspiration each week – see up-to-date listings below.

A warm and friendly environment creating a perfect atmosphere for the beginner. All materials are provided.

3rd June – Pencil, perspectives and MC Escher

10th June – Charcoal studies looking at the work of artist Rosa Bonheur

17th June – Watercolour workshop; the ‘saturated’ technique

24th June – Inky brusho paintings inspired by the work of Amrita Sher-gil

1st July – Painting light in watercolours using JMW Turner for inspiration

8th July – Enchanted paintings exploring Disney through the lens of artist Mary Blair

15th July – Acrylic, pointillism and the artwork of Yvonne Canu
