Adult Art Class
An adult art class introducing the principal of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium, working to a theme for inspiration each week.
A warm and friendly environment creating a perfect atmosphere for the beginner. All materials are provided.

5th November: Alison Lambert inspired charcoal portraits
Explore techniques for drawing facial features and experiment in creating tone with torn paper and charcoal.
12th November: Folk painting with gouache
A chance to try the medium whilst drawing inspiration from folk art, craft and traditional costumes from around the world.
19th November: Collage art
A technique which uses torn paper to create realistic pictures.
26th November: Still life drawing with easels
The class will focus on one still like drawing from different perspectives and how the use of light casts shadows.
3rd December: Snowscapes
Acrylic painting and mixed media to explore creating snowscape pictures.
10th December: Florine Stettheimer inspired watercolours
Watercolour session inspired by the beautiful artwork of the artist Florine Stettheimer.
17th December: Andy Warhol at Christmas
Looking at Warhols Christmas card designs, using watercolours, pens, fine liners and bold colours.
