Brew-ha-ha House Comedy
Summer fun? Yes please!
The comedy continues in the Brewhouse Bar comedy club with the talents of Al Stevenson, Tal Davies and headlined by Sully O’Sullivan!
Do note that line-up is subject to change
Tal Davies is a comedian, writer and self-proclaimed scumbag who blends toe-curling anecdotes with dry observational humour, delivered with a warm, likeable stage presence and a deadpan Brummie accent.
A BBC New Comedy Award regional finalist, Funny Women finalist, and British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist, Tal was also crowned Breakthrough Act at the Midlands Comedy Awards and has supported the likes of Milton Jones, Paul Choudry and Josh Pugh on tour. She’s a BBC Writersroom alumni and credited screenwriter for BBC Three’s The Break.
Al Stevenson is the quick-witted, sharp-tongued lad of Newcastle! His charm allows him to tear through audiences with rapid fire, all whilst getting away with it through a cheeky grin.
His talents have been described as “relentlessly hilarious” (Carl Hutchinson) with a “magnetic aura” (Crissy Rock) which have seen him rise to the finals of Beat The Frog World Series, beating hundreds of acts to do so, and to host and headline prestigious venues such as The Stand Comedy Clubs.
“Al Stevenson combines the blunt double-entendres of Julian Clary with the bored, world-weariness of Jo Brand.” – Chortle
“Blisteringly confident and deliriously lurid crowd work.” – NARC Magazine
Sully O’Sullivan is a seasoned international headliner who has performed all over the world. First stepping onto the stage in his native New Zealand, Sully rocketed to stardom making his TV debut just 7 months later in New Zealand’s cult stand-up series Pulp Comedy on TV2, where he went on to appear in another three seasons.
In 2005 Sully decided to spread his comedy wings and head to the sunny coasts of Great Britain. Over a decade later and he’s now performed in almost every corner of the country including the Orkney Islands, the Isle Of Man, the Isle Of White & the Channel Islands! Basically there’s not many places in the UK that Sully hasn’t set foot. Renowned as an act capable of performing in any room and to any audience, Sully has also built up a reputation as one of the most reliable and quick witted comperes on the circuit.
