What Could A Creative Career Look Like For Me?
The creative industries are a huge and exciting sector, but how do they actually work, and how do you turn your passion or hobby into a living? This session is your roadmap.
We’ll look at:
- The wide range of creative jobs out there (beyond just ‘artist’ or ‘actor’).
- The difference between freelance and employed work.
- How creative skills are used in non-creative sectors, and vice versa.
- Different ways to ‘break in’; from applying for opportunities to creating your own.
- What’s involved in setting up your own business or creative company.
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of the industry and the many paths it offers.
Who it’s for:
This session is targeted at young people aged 16–25 who are creative, curious, and want to explore creative careers; no experience needed.
