Closer Than I Have Ever Been
Working with filmmaker Claire Davies, Closer Than I Have Ever Been is a community-led experimental film about The Washlands in Burton upon Trent.
Focusing on the textures, surfaces, shapes and forms at this intersection between the water and the land, participants collected footage considering movement, boundaries, contrast and stillness. The outcome is a short film exploring the observations and sensations of being immersed in this environment.
The film will be available to view in our Cinema from Monday 10th – Friday 14th June, 10am-3pm, with a special screening event on Thursday 13th June, 6-8pm.
This project has been supported by the National Forest.
