Create a Play in A Day
This summer the Brewhouse Arts Centre is delighted to be part of Staffordshire County Council’s HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme offering a programme of FREE creative workshops for eligible children and young people throughout the summer holidays.
The HAF programme provides enriching holiday activities and a healthy meal for children and young people aged 5–16 who receive benefit-related Free School Meals. Activities take place across Staffordshire from 20 July to 31 August 2026, with eligible children able to book up to 16 free sessions across the programme.
Create a Play in a Day
Friday 14th August, 11:00am – 2:30pm
Delivered with our friends at youth arts charity RicNic, we’ll hand you an empty stage, you decide what to fill it with. Every element is yours to create as you work collectively to explore ideas and bring a show to life from a blank canvas. It’s your show, your rules! This session is recommended for ages 11 – 16.

- Playing with Puppetry Tuesday 21st July, 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Creative Movement and Dance Thursday 30th July, 3:00pm – 5:30pm
- Printing “with” Nature Friday 7th August, 10:00am – 12:30pm
- Create a Play in a Day Friday 14th August, 11:00am – 2:30pm
- DIY Zines Tuesday 18th August, 12:00pm – 2:30pm
- Be an Artist for the Day Wednesday 26th August, 11:00am – 1:30pm
