The Rosie Hood Band

Known for her powerful & clear vocals (‘magical’-RnR) and poetic writing, Rosie Hood delivers absorbing live performances, with a keen sense of fun on stage. A former BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee, she’s toured widely from her Sheffield base. Rosie’s (‘classy’-RnR) band bring dynamic lift, drive and depth, and features Robyn Wallace (melodeon/percussion), Rosie Butler-Hall and Bridget Slater(fiddle). Together, they rework traditional songs, and present original songs exploring nature, human struggle, women’s voices and untold stories. Their 2023 album, A Seed of Gold, drew inspiration from Rosie’s native Wiltshire including the story of a shape-shifting local witch.
